Did the Mughals loot India?
When Bhagat Singh appeared in the court, the British judge asked him in the full court that, Bhagat Singh, you bombed our people when we have only been here for 150 years and these Muslims were ruling over you for 800 years. Why did you never bomb them?"
Bhagat Singh smiled and said, “The Muslims ruled over us, and ruled in such a way that our country became a golden bird, and made such a golden bird that the chirping of this bird brought you here from across the seven seas, and Judge, how did you rule here for 150 years?
If I want to say it in one line, then you ruled like a sponge, this sponge would suck up diamonds and pearls from the banks of the Ganges and when it was squeezed by the banks of the Thames (London's river), the wealth would rain. Today (in your place) all the industrial revolution and factories have come from it and these Mughals ruled our country in such a way that they made it their home and mixed themselves in its dust. The money taken from here was spent here and made this country a golden bird.
Whoever doubts this statement of Bhagat Singh should go and read that book -Avaidance In Book (Grover and Grover page 169).
