History of coffee

 Coffee was first brewed in Yemen in the ninth century.  Yemen is basically an Arab Muslim country.  There is a belief that coffee was used by Sufis, they used to drink it during night worship.  Later it was brought to Cairo by some students and coffee became popular among the rulers of Cairo.  Arrived in Turkey in the thirteenth century.  After this, in the sixteenth century, coffee began to be produced and exported throughout Europe.

 A Sufi Baba Budan brought coffee to India.
