[How did Tipu Sultan get the name Tiger of Mysore?
According to history, once Tipu Sultan was hunting in the forest with a French friend, then a tiger came in front of him, his gun failed to work and the tiger jumped on him and the gun fell on the ground.
Undaunted, he tried to reach for the gun, picked it up and shot the tiger dead. Since then he was called as Tiger of Mysore.
He also adopted the tiger as the symbol of his rule. .!!]
