 What can a teacher with a salary of just 45 rupees do?  Rather, our question should be 'What can't?', because Laxmanrao Kirloskar proved that to move forward one should not think big, Laxmanrao Kirloskar, founder of Kirloskar Group, was one of the famous industrialists of India, 20 June.  Kirloskar, born in Belgaum near Mysore in 1869, has created the history of industry in India.


 Kirloskar did not like to read since his childhood.  Mumbai's J.J.  He learned mechanical drawing at the School of Art and was appointed as a teacher at the 'Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute' in Mumbai.  Soon he got to know the machines, in 1888 he opened a bicycle shop named 'Kirloskar Brothers' along with his brother Ramuanna.  After all the difficulties, he borrowed from the King of Aundh and bought 32 acres of barren land and opened a factory there and turned the land upside down, but there were more difficulties. It was very difficult to convince the farmers for the machines.  It took 2 years, but he did not give up at any cost, from Jawaharlal Nehru to Lokmanya Tilak was very impressed by Kirloskar's success.


 The company that Kirloskar built today has become a conglomerate worth more than 2.5 billion dollars.
