A former governor of Goa, Tripura, and Uttar Pradesh, Romesh Bhandari explains that the word "Bhandari" attached to his name indicates that his ancestors were traders. Even after many years of marriage, there was no heir at home. Then someone told them that you should go to Hazrat Khwaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar, he will pray to Allah, then blessings will come to your house.
He goes to the khanqah of businessman Khwaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar, Khwaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar was praying in his house. As usual, the Khanqah was in a state of chaos. Seeing this, the businessman started anchoring there. Food was distributed among the people present there.
When Khwaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar came out of Hujra, he saw that all the people present there were eating. When he asked about it, a servant of the khanqah said that one of your loved ones has come, seeking your prayers. So that children will come to their house. On hearing this, Hazrat Khwaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar said that this is a "treasury" itself.
After this, the businessman goes back with a message from Hazrat, children arrived at his house. Then he added the nickname "Bhandari" given by Khwaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar to the child's name. which reached Romesh Bhandari with inheritance.
